The Diamond in a Square block is an incredibly versatile quilt block and is very common in quilting. This pattern comes with 11 sizes! FPP makes this much easier to sew. The Diamond in a Square can stand on its own in a quilt, but it is also frequently used as an alternating block or as a block within a block, such as the Ohio Star design. Diamond in a Square is also perfect if you have some fabrics you want to showcase as focal fabric, particularly larger scale prints. This block is perfect for fussy cutting as well. It can be a bit tricky to get perfect squares and points the correct size when using the traditional piecing method.
